It's kinda cold out.
And I went out to the mall today.
And I was stupid enough to leave my window open.
No, it was a balmy -5 degrees celsius this morning, so when I got up I was like "hey, there's no ice on my window! I can open it!" because the heat inside my house was enough to keep it thawed. Then I came home during the evening and decided to make pasta, which means that a lot of moisture was let up into the air, and of course it had to be drawn down the hall and into my bedroom, where the window was open, and settle on the window...
...and make a MASSIVE layer of ice.
Because now, it is a balmy -23 degrees.
Now, it could be worse, it could be -40, knowing my climate, and I really shouldn't have left that darn window open! All because I wanted some fresh air...geez I'm so stupid sometimes!
So, first I had to chip away some of the ice with a screwdriver and a hammer (the top of the screwdriver is now deformed, if you must know

) and then I had to stand there with a hairdryer and thaw the ice that was underneath the window track.
Did I mention my hair is wet because I had just gotten out of the shower when the thought of the window occurred to me? (the shower moisture probably didn't help at all)
Beautiful.
So...anyway.
Agh....brrrrrrrr.
(goes to get sweater)
K, so, moral of the story is?
*shivers*
*fetches tea*
You'd think I'd be smarter by this point, but nooooooo.
hmmmm...
...going to go work on some stories.
